Honey Candles

2 items left

  • Measuring at 3" by 2.5", Honey Candles® Peek-a-Bee Pillar is handmade with 100% pure Canadian beeswax, producing the warm characteristic glow of beeswax candles, with a soothing natural scent. Like all of our beeswax candles, the Peek-a-Bee Pillar is made with only all-natural, toxin-free ingredients. Better yet, every purchase of this candle supports an immensely important cause. For every Honey Candles® Peek-a-Bee Pillar candle you purchase, $2 will go towards funding vital research to save our bees. Thank you to everyone who supports this great cause.
    • Honey Bees pollinate a third of our crops. Without them we wouldn't be able to enjoy many of our favorite fruits, flowers, nuts and vegetables. In recent years, a mysterious disease called Colony Collapse Disorder has ravaged bee populations across North America.
    • The University of Guelph Honey Bee Centre is taking part in research that is known internationally. They have a great little video about honey bees. You will find out what social creatures honey bees are and how vulnerable they are to pests and disease. Honey bees are experiencing threats to their survival in many ways due to land use decisions and climate change. The researchers have over 300 hives they are using for research and they obviously care and love the bees. The research they do in bee health, genetics and behavior contribute to the important components in training and educational programs. Honey bees are our most important pollinator and we are grateful for the research being done in Guelph. Without the honey bees our dinner plates would not be nearly as interesting or nutritious as we like and Honey Candles® would not be able to continue making the beeswax candles we do.
  • Burn Time: 20-25 Hours
  • How do I properly burn a natural beeswax Ornamental candle?
    • Always place Ornamentals on a pillar plate. Due to the intricate design of our ornamental candles, you may find they need extra care. You can slowly feed the fallen wax back into the candle. For candles with varying diameters, you may need to extinguish the flame when the melt pool gets too close to the edge. Let the wax cool and relight.
